ASSAM Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Bhaskar-jyoti Mahanta resigned from the post on Thursday after an RTI was filed seeking data related to government funds given to his brother Shyamkanu Mahanta, who was arrested along with six others last month in connection with music icon Zubeen Garg's mysterious death in Singapore on September 19.
