OLD - a metal that has fascinated humans from times immemorial. From jewelry to aerospace, from medicine to industrial use, gold is used predominantly in many domains of daily life.
Now, a research by Gottingen University, Germany has found that the earth's core is rich with gold, and this is leaking through the mantle into our planet's crust. These metals have been confined since the planet was formed 4.5 billion years ago. The finding suggests a significant interconnection between Earth's core and outer layers than previously found.
The study of Hawaiian volcanic rocks shows that Earth's core is leaking gold, and other important metals to the surface. It is estimated that over 99.99% of the Earth's gold and precious metals, like Ruthenium, are concealed in the metallic core of the planet.
