|August 08, 2025
The Puducherry Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) has issued separate legal notices to both contractual and regular drivers and conductors participating in the ongoing strike that began on July 28.
They have been warned of disciplinary action including suspension and termination if they fail to resume duty immediately.
In two notices dated August 7, PRTC Managing Director A S Sivakumar termed the strike illegal and unsanctioned, stating it violated standing orders and contractual terms. The corporation described the agitation as a wilful act of indiscipline and a serious disruption of essential public transport services.
