Priority to agri, separate water management dept if voted to power: EPS

EDAPPADI K Palaniswami said on Wednesday that his party will prioritise agriculture and set up a separate department for water management if voted to power.
Interacting with farmers in Chidambaram as part of his campaign tour, Palaniswami said, "In my bio-data, I have listed myself as a farmer. I have been involved in agriculture since my school days. With that experience, I introduced several schemes for farmers during my tenure. I assumed office during a crisis. You know the challenges I faced. Despite that, I delivered governance through drought, Cyclone Gaja, and the COVID-19 pandemic."
