THE electoral strength in the union territory of Puducherry has decreased by 1,309 voters in the final electoral roll published on January 6 as compared to numbers from October 29, 2024.
THE electoral strength in the union territory of Puducherry has decreased by 1,309 voters in the final electoral roll published on January 6 as compared to numbers from October 29, 2024. The electorate stood at 10,14,070 voters as compared to 10,15,379 in October.
While 22,154 voters were admitted, 23,463 were deleted.
According to an official release from the Chief Electoral Officer P Jawahar, the final number consists of 4,74,788 men, 5,39,125 women and 157 trans persons. The number of voters in the age group of 18-19 is 24,156.
While the number in Puducherry region stood at 7,76,815; in Karaikal region, it was 1,68,185; Mahe, 29,448 and Yanam, 39,622.
