Money laundering: ED raids residences of K'taka Cong MLA

THE Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out raids at the residences of Chitradurga Congress MLA K C Veerendra, popularly known as 'Puppy', and his brothers, K C Nagaraj and K C Thippeswamy, in connection with a money laundering case linked to casino and betting operations.
Sources said the searches began around 5.30 am at Veerendra's house in Challakere and continued till late in the evening. Simultaneous raids were conducted at properties in Bengaluru and Goa, where the family is said to be involved in casino businesses.
