Khelo India: 2K athletes from 65 villages take part in NLCIL rural sports tourney

NEYVELI Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) organised an inter-village sports tournament for rural youth of peripheral villages around Neyveli, in line with the central government's Khelo India initiative.
According to a press release from NLCIL, the tournament commenced on March 29 at Bharathi Stadium in Neyveli. The event was inaugurated by NLCIL CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli.
"More than 2,100 young athletes from nearly 65 villages registered for the sports meet, which included events such as cricket, volleyball, kabaddi for men, and throwball for women," he said.
