Excise dept seals 15 restobars for failing to renew licences

THE Puducherry Excise Department have sealed the premises of 15 restobars (FL2 Tourism category) for failing to renew their licences for the new financial year 2025-2026.
While the bar areas, holding alcohol stock, has been sealed, the restaurant areas are allowed to continue its operations.
Following directives from Deputy Commissioner of Excise Mathews Francis, the department officials sealed the 15 defaulting bars.
