Two arrested for leaking naval secrets

SLEUTHS of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided two houses in Karwar and Ankola taluks, arresting two persons for espionage and leaking sensitive information related to the Kadamba Naval Base to Pakistan-based agents.

The accused, Akshay Naik and Vethan Tandel, allegedly passed photographs of warships and aircraft carriers. They were taken to the NIA headquarters in Hyderabad for further investigation.
