Alcaraz marches into pre-quarters; Osaka, Keys crash out in Round 3

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz bounced back from a mini-scare in the second set as he defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round to enter the Wimbledon pre-quarterfinals. The Spaniard won 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and keeps his title defence alive.
Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka will once again leave the competition in the third round after a 3-6, 4-6, 4-6 loss to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Friday. Osaka is a former No. 1 now ranked 50th and a four-time Grand Slam champion all on hard courts. She won the U.S. Open and Australian Open twice apiece.
Reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys's defeat was another surprise of the day. She was beaten by 37-year-old Laura Siegemund, in a lopsided tie.
