G Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York, in recognition of his visionary leadership in advancing STEM education in India and his steadfast commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities.
