VinFast's First EV Manufacturing Plant in India Inaugurated in Tamil Nadu

THE VinFast electric vehicle (EV) assembly plant at SIPCOT industrial park in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi, inaugurated by Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday, is its first facility being operationalised outside its home country Vietnam.
Spread over 400 acres, the plant is equipped with a state-of-the-art production unit with world-class standards featuring advanced automation and cutting-edge technologies with an ambition to make Tamil Nadu a potential EV capital in South Asia in the near future. Having a capacity to make 50,000 cars per year, VinFast Tamil Nadu will focus on assembling two premium electric SUV models, the VF6 and VF7.
