YSRCP slams power tariff hike, plans protest on Dec 27

YSRCP State General Secretary Gadikota Srikanth Reddy has criticised the ruling alliance government for imposing an additional ₹16,000 crore burden on the public by increasing electricity charges.
Speaking at the YSRCP office in Rayachoti, Srikanth accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of breaking his promises.
He pointed out that despite assurances during Naidu's five-year tenure that power tariffs would remain unchanged, the Chief Minister raised charges within six months of returning to power.
