Water Level Increases in Srisailam and Tungabhadra Reservoirs

STEADY rainfall across upstream areas of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Kurnool district has led to increased inflows into the Srisailam reservoir, significantly improving water levels compared to the same period last year.
As of Thursday, the reservoir held 167.49 TMC ft of water against its full capacity of 215 TMC ft, a sharp rise from just 37.24 TMC ft on the same day in 2024. The current water level stands at 875.80 feet, nearing the reservoir's full level of 885.00 feet.
