Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams to begin at Srisailam today

Over 10L pilgrims expected during the 11-day fest; arrangements include 15 temporary rest sheds, 800 bathrooms & supply of 30L gallons of drinking water a day
THE eleven-day Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams will begin on Wednesday and run until March 1 at Srisaila Devasthanam in Nandyal district. Temple Executive Officer M Srinivas Rao stated that all arrangements are in place for the grand festival.
The festival will commence with Yagasala Pravesam, Shiva Sankalpam, and Ganapathi puja at 9 am on Thursday, followed by Dhwajarohana in the evening. Nearly 10 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple during the event. There will be no sparsa (touching) darshan, and Arjita Sevas will be unavailable during the Brahmotsavams.
