High Court adjourns bail petition of Midhun Reddy in liquor policy case

THE Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on Rajampet MP PV Midhun Reddy, anticipatory bail plea in a liquor policy case to Wednesday, following extensive arguments from both sides.
Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra, appearing for the CID, asserted that Midhun Reddy played a central role in the formulation and execution of the liquor policy. Luthra informed that liquor orders were selectively awarded to companies that paid kickbacks, with illicit funds diverted through multiple shell companies, resulting in a reported ₹3,500 crore loss to the State exchequer.
