BJP Slams Cong on 4% Quota for K'taka Muslim Contractors

THE BJP on Saturday sharply criticised Congress for granting 4% reservation to Muslim contractors in government projects in Karnataka.
The Siddaramaiah cabinet had recently approved an amendment to the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement Act, which aims to reserve 4% of government contracts for Muslim contractors.
Speaking to the media at the party headquarters here, former law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the Congress of engaging in "politics of appeasement".
