Union Home Min says central allocation to state has gone up under Modi govt, slams LDF & UDF for graft
SETTING the BJP's poll agenda in Kerala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday projected 25% vote share for the saffron party in the local body election. Shah trained guns at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and claimed that the BJP-led NDA will form government in the state in 2026.
Highlighting the Centre's contributions to Kerala's infrastructure, Shah said contrary to perception, the central allocations to the state have gone up. He contrasted past allocations with the present, noting that the railway budget for Kerala, which was just ₹372 crore in 2004, has been increased to ₹3,700 crore under the Modi government.
