SC to Hear Today Baghel's Plea Against ED's Arrest Powers in Liquor Case

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on August 4, Monday, the plea filed by former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel and his arrested son, Chaitanya Baghel, seeking the legal authority and jurisdiction of central investigative agencies — Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) — in probing alleged irregularities linked to the multi-crore liquor scam in the state.
According to the causelist, the plea of the father-son duo is scheduled for hearing on Monday, August 4, before a bench headed by Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi.
