DEVYANI International (DIL) and Sapphire Foods India said in a separate regulatory filing on Friday they are evaluating strategic opportunities for growth and expansion of their business amid rumours that the US-based Yum! Brands is engaged in merger talks between two of its largest Indian franchise partners.
Devyani and Sapphire operate fast food chains such as KFC and Pizza Hut outlets in India as franchise partners. Reports stated the US company is aiming to join its two Indian partners into one single entity.
