Akhilesh-Ambedkar poster triggers UP political storm, BJP threatens stir

A poster juxtaposing half the faces of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Dr BR Ambedkar has created a political furore in UP since it went viral Wednesday morning.
The poster, part of a message welcoming people to an SP event, was construed as the party rooting for Dalit votes.
It launched a political slugfest in Lucknow even as the state SC/ST Commission took suo moto cognisance of the Samajwadi Party's controversial poster and ordered the Lucknow police commissioner to register a case and probe. It sought a report by May 5.
