Cash-for-jobs: SC refuses to cancel Senthil Balaji's bail

THE Supreme Court, in its order on Monday, refused to cancel the bail granted to DMK leader V Senthil Balaji in the "cash-for-jobs" scam, after it was apprised that he resigned from his ministership yesterday and the resignation was accepted by Tamil Nadu governor.
A two-judge bench, comprising Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice Augustine George Masih, disposed of the applications filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and a witness seeking to cancel the bail granted to Balaji. The ED also claimed that he was allegedly trying to influence witnes
