Preparation under way for Buon Natale 2024; five houses to be handed over

PREPARATIONS are under way for Buon Natale 2024, the Christmas celebration of Thrissur, which will see approximately 15,000 participants dressed as Santa Claus, dancing to the tune of Jingle Bells. The event is scheduled to take place at 4.15 pm on December 27.
Speaking to the press about the organisation of Buon Natale, CBCI president and Thrissur Archbishop Mar Andrews Thazhath emphasised that the event is not only a celebration of Christmas but also a symbol of communal harmony in Thrissur. "Additionally, instructions have been given to parishes in the diocese to engage in charity activities alongside the festivities," he said. He also said that, as part of the event, the keys to five newly built houses for homeless individuals
