Pkd sustainable development study to be presented at global summit

SUSTHIRA Thrithala, a pioneering ecologically sustainable rural development programme in Palakkad district, has been selected as the only case study from India to be presented at the 13th International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2025) in Rome, scheduled for September 10-11.
The announcement was made by LSG Minister M B Rajesh during a review meeting of the project. The case study selection was carried out by the European Center for Sustainability in collaboration with the Canadian Institute of Technology. "Susthira Thrithala has been recognised as a model that shows how rural communities can achieve sustainable development through collective participation and integrated planning," Rajesh said during the meeting.
