MHA approves 1,000 additional CRPF jawans for VIP security wing

GUARDING BIGWIGS The VIP Security Wing is a specialised branch of the CRPF assigned to provide security to prominent individuals
IN view of the government's plans to gradually transfer certain protectees from the National Security Guard (NSG) to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sanctioned addition of another battalion (around 1,000 personnel) to the CRPF's VIP security wing, officials said on Tuesday.
