Man sentenced to 80 years in prison for sexually abusing stepdaughter

A 51-year-old man has been sentenced to 80 years in prison for sexually abusing his minor stepdaughter.
In November, the court sentenced him to 141 years of rigorous imprisonment for repeatedly raping the 12-year-old for over four years, starting in 2017. The court also imposed a fine of ₹7.85 lakh.
Last Monday, the court sentenced the man to 57 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹3.48 lakh for raping the girl again while he was out on bail in the earlier case in 2022.
