Major reason behind waterlogging in low-lying areas is broken state of Command Bund
DESPITE rain subsiding for a short period, two families have been staying in GVHS School Cherpu as the waterlogging in Muthulliyal and surroundings continues unabated for the past two months. When rain intensifies, many people living in low-lying areas have to move to the relief camp opened at the school. As the issue continues, residents have demanded to set up a permanent relief centre in the panchayat.
