Explosion at Pkd house caused by country-made firecrackers

AN explosion at a house in Puthunagaram in Palakkad district, on Thursday afternoon was triggered by country-made firecrackers, police have confirmed.
The incident occurred around 12pm at the residence of Hakeem in Mangode Lak-sham Veedu Colony, injuring two siblings.
The injured have been identified as Sharif and his sister Shahana, both relatives of the house owner. Neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing the loud blast and found the two in a severely injured condition.
