Congress restructuring: Central leadership starts discussions

There will be reshuffle at the organisational level, says an AICC leader
EVEN AS the KPCC has been dragging its feet on organisational restructuring, the central leadership has initiated steps by holding one-to-one discussions with state leaders.
The central leaders will meet state president K Sudhakaran, Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan and MPs from the state from January 15 during the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters in New Delhi.
"The high command has started discussions," an AICC leader told TNIE on condition of anonymity. "Some leaders are contacting the AICC leadership too. The thrust will be on deciding how we should go forward. There will be reshuffle at the organisational level," he said.
The high command is considering restructuring some of the DCCs. Thrissur DCC was dissolved after the LS election. The performances of Idukki and Wayanad DCCs are also not up to the mark. There are also some complaints about the Kollam DCC.
