THE Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have set a target of increasing their overall student admissions to 21,000 across their undergraduate and postgraduate streams by 2030.

The institutes will also encourage intake of international students and provide them scholarships.

The seven IISERs, considered institutes of national importance (INIs), recently submitted their roadmap, ‘Vision 2030 and Vision 2035,’ to the education ministry. This newspaper has accessed the document of the IISERs located in Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and Behrampur.
