GOVERNOR S Abdul Nazeer attended the Gujarat and Maharashtra Formation Day celebrations as the chief guest at Raj Bhavan in Vijayawada on Friday, under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme.
In his address, the Governor noted that the people of Gujarat actively participated in the country's freedom movement and made significant contributions to India's independence. He said that Maharashtra produced many prominent freedom fighters and social reformers such as Vinoba Bhave, Dr BR Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Nanaji Deshmukh, and others.
