Forces kept on toes amid intel alert on terror from B'desh

WITH intelligence inputs coming from Bangladesh on possible terror threat in India, the forces have been asked to ramp up security grid across land, air and water routes linked to the neighbouring country, which has been witnessing extremist activities amid political instability, sources said on Saturday.

It is learnt that after the intelligence inputs were shared with the government, a high-level security review meeting was held earlier this month and top officials of the central and state forces have been told to ramp up the security grid with a focus on the travel routes linked to Bangladesh.
