Coconut-based industrial cluster to come up in K'seema

Collector says it is a transformative step towards enhancing farmer income, generating employment for youth and boosting exports
KONASEEMA district administration has launched an ambitious initiative to establish coconut-based industries aimed at unlocking the full economic potential of coconut cultivation. The plan includes a dedicated 'Coconut Park' that will house value-added units for processing coconut water, milk, grated coconut, husk, fibre, rope, dried coconut, and organic manure.
The Coconut Park will function as an industrial cluster with Common Facility Centres (CFCs) to support processing, packaging, quality control, skill development, and enterprise support. Konaseema District Collector Mahesh Kumar Ravirala said the initiative will enhance farmer incomes, generate youth employment, and boost exports.
