UNION Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday assured Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar that the Central Government is taking necessary measures to reduce accidents on the National Highway-16 stretch between Gannavaram and Nallajerla in Andhra Pradesh.
Responding during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha, Gadkari stated that the Centre was not previously aware that, on average, at least one road accident occurs daily along this stretch. He clarified that the government prepares an annual report titled Road Accidents in India based on data collected from all States and Union T
