TG is 3rd State in country to conduct caste survey, following 'jitni abadi, utna haq' principle
THE Backward Classes (BCs) accounted for 1,99,85,767 people (56.33%) in the state, out of which 35,76,588 (10.08%) are Muslims. The rest of the population consists of 61,84,319 Scheduled Castes (SCs) (17.43%), 37,05,929 Scheduled Tribes (STs) (10.45%) and 44,57,012 Muslims (12.56%), which includes 8,80,424 OC Muslims (2.48%). Other Castes (OCs) accounted for 44,21,115 (13.31%) of the total population in Telangana.

SC rejects creditor's plea against Aakash rights issue
