Zoo Releases Video to Sensitize People in Dealing with Animals

Zoo authorities say conservation is possible only if public behaviour towards wildlife is changed

The Shivamogga zoo has produced and released a short video on YouTube, on the occasion of World Primate Day urging the public not to feed monkeys in forest regions or while passing through the forest area to educate the public. The short video describes how humans have to be sensitive while dealing with wild animals and to be careful while feeding bananas.

The Executive Director of the Shivamogga Zoo and Safari, Tyavarekoppa, V M Amarakshara told The New Indian Express that to create public awareness and educate them about conservation of wildlife, the short video has been made. Conservation will be possible only if public behaviour towards the wildlife is changed.
