Somanna says project will be completed within two years

UNION Minister of State for Railways V Somanna on Tuesday said that the Tumkuru-Davanagere direct railway line will be completed within two years and the Union government is committed to run the first train on this route as soon as possible.
Speaking to TNIE over phone, he said that he had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Parliament House in New Delhi on Tuesday and requested him to get the approval for the proposal submitted by the Railway Board to the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the railway project between Thimmajanahalli and Tavarekere, a key segment of the Tumakuru-Chitradurga-Davangere railway line.
