Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), district president Srikanth Pai, Bajrang Dal leader Raghu Sakleshpur, BJP MLC C T Ravi, Kote Ranganath and Dr Narendra, with others who were wearing holy saffron robes, visited Hindu houses and collected 'Padi' (rice), alms as part of Datta Jayanti tradition from women in Narayanapura and Basavanahalli to be offered as "Irumudi" at the Datta Peeta on Saturday, the last day of Datta Jayanthi.
