Roads yet to be built under PM-JANMAN in Udupi

EVEN as PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) scheme was launched in the nation in November, 2023, that among other things, aims to provide essential road connectivity to particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTG) - yet, not a single stretch of road has been built in Udupi district as of date.
Under the road connectivity component of PM-JANMAN scheme, 748 kms road have been constructed across the country. The target is to build a total of 8,000 km of road across the country by March, 2028. Under this scheme, Karnataka was sanctioned with 40 roads with a total length of
