Rebuild BJP and win 2028 assembly polls: Ex-MLA

FORMER MLA from Chitradurga, G H Thippareddy has urged BJP workers not to be worried about the last assembly election results and ensure that the party is rebuilt for the 2028 state assembly polls and wins the election with a sizable number of seats.
Addressing party workers at the 45th Foundation Day programme in the city, he said for a political leader, the party should be like his family and he should consider party workers as his family members.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was founded on April 6, 1980 by leaders of the erstwhile Jana Sangh, a party which had merged with other opposition parties to form the Janata Party to take on the Congress in the post-Emergency 1977 polls.
The BJP won only two Lok Sabha seats in the first national election it fought in 1984.
