A petition was filed in a Bihar court against CM Nitish Kumar on Friday seeking action against him for allegedly "disrespecting" the national anthem a day after he abruptly left the dais at a sporting event before the national anthem was to be played.
In the petition filed before a chief judicial magistrate in Muzaffarpur, advocate Suraj Kumar alleged that the CM's actions during the inauguration of the Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025 at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna brought disrespect to the state.
