The Supreme Court on Monday served notices on the Centre and others on a plea seeking to ban the streaming of sexually explicit content on various OTT and social media platforms.

"We issue notice to respondents. Let Netflix, etc., be here; they also have a social responsibility," said a two-judge bench of Justices B R Gavai and Augustine George Masih.

The court also said that the Executive and Legislature should devise measures to curb indecent content.
