Nijalingappa's house to be converted into a museum

DEPUTY Commissioner T Venkatesh has said that, "We have taken over the possession of the house of former chief minister S Nijalingappa and I will direct engineers to prepare an estimation for conservation of the 85-year-old bungalow where the former CM lived till his last."
Speaking to TNIE, he said, "For the conservation of the building, we will take up the issue of setting up a museum and suggestions will be invited from officials, the public, near and dear ones to Nijalingappa and former CM's family."
The DC said that there is Rs 80 lakh available with the district administration for conservation of the bungalow and it will be utilised on the technical approval based on the estimation given by the engineers.
