Ministers, MLAs condole demise of Kannada literary stalwart HSV

SENIOR MLA Dr Shamanur Shivashankarappa, district minister SS Mallikarjun and MP Dr Prabha Mallikarjun on Friday expressed deep condolences on the passing of Venkatesh Murthy, a stalwart of Kannada literary world, a renowned poet, litterateur and composer of songs for Kannada films.
A poet, playwright, critic, and professor, HS Venkatesh Murthy was born on June 23, 1944, in Hodigere village in Channagiri taluk of Davangere district. Popularly known as HSV in the literary world, he contributed largely to the world of literature. HSV also worked as a professor at St Joseph's College, Bengaluru. He was elected as the president
