Govt promotes raitha bazaar to eliminate middlemen

ENERGY Minister KJ George said that the government has been promoting Farmers' Produce Companies, with a view to provide lucrative prices for the farmers without any interference from middle men.
Inaugurating the Platinum Jubilee function of Kadur TAPCMS and the Farmers' Bazaar at Kadur, the minister said that the concept of Raitha Bazaar has been a new concept in getting profitable prices for the produce of the farmers.
Stating that there is no power shortage in the state, the minister claimed that necessary steps have been taken to increase the power production.
He added that the biggest ever solar park in Asia is under construction at Pavagada with farmers' co-partnership, which has a 2,000 megawatt power generation target.
