The members of Shantaveri Gopala Gowda Samajawadi Adhyayana Kendra have demanded the Union government to name the Jambagaru railway station at Sagar after late socialist Ram Manohar Lohia.
Kalluru Megharaj, president of the forum, told reporters here on Friday that on June 13, 1951, Ram Manohar Lohia participated in the Kagodu Satyagraha and got arrested at the same railway station. It has been 74 years since then; the news of the arrest of Lohia became international news. This gave fame to Kagodu Satyagraha.
