DC: Restriction on Vehicles Is to Streamline Traffic

Deputy Commissioner Meena Nagaraj C N said limiting of vehicles to the Mullayyanagiri region is not to restrict them as is perceived by many, but instead it is a process to streamline traffic.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Meena said the decision to introduce online booking for tourists, and initiating passes system with a specified fee amount, was taken by the district administration and the tourism department keeping in view issues like traffic management, cleanliness and environmental concerns.
Entry of tourist vehicles to Mullayyanagiri, Seethalayanagiri, Datta Peeta, Bababudan Swamy Dargah, Manikya Dhara in two slots will come into force from September 1.
