The purpose of this project is to connect missing link of UGD to sewage treatment plants
The Shivamogga City Corporation has started construction of underground drainage (UGD) at nine areas in the city from the allocated funds of Million Plus Cities (MPC) project.
The purpose of this UGD project is to connect the missing link of UGD to sewage treatment plants (STP) in the city. Some residents have alleged that the unfinished UGD works in residential areas are causing inconvenience to the public and urged the corporation to conduct restoration works of the road as soon as the UGD works get completed to avoid further accidents.
