Cancer awareness programme held at Nanjappa Hospital

"CANCER patients should not worry too much about the disease and slip into depression. Instead they should develop a positive attitude and should love themselves first," said gynaecologist, Ashoka awardee and cancer survivor Dr Gunjan Malhotra.
She inaugurated a cancer awareness programme organised at Nanjappa Life Care Hospital on Sagar Road in the city on Saturday and narrated her story of surviving and defeating cancer. She said that she ignored the changes in her body when she was diagnosed with cancer. She said she served in the army for 24 years. She said any patient can beat cancer with self-confidence and persistence.
