11 Underground Bunkers of Top Maoist Leader Demolished and 7 IEDs Defused

In a major breakthrough, the security forces on Tuesday demolished 11 bunkers belonging to top Maoist leader Misir Besra, having a bounty of ₹1 crore on his head, and diffused seven powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Saranda forests of Chaibasa.
As per cops, the bunker sites, of dimensions varying between 25 x 35, 20 x 25 and 15 x 20 feet, were well-equipped to accommodate the Maoist leader Besra and his squad.
Besides the bunkers, six Maoist supply stashes were also unearthed in the area. A printer, two batteries, cartridges, lathe machine, 18 pipes, wire and other articles of daily use have been recovered, police added.
